Specialising in homes in this area, I have a good knowledge of how they were built and solving the problems that can arise. I am always willing to discuss options and ideas.

Design and Consultation

Having many years experience in designing kitchens, wardrobe and shelving systems, I can suggest elegant solutions to storage problems. Whether bespoke or ready made, I can design, build and install cupboards, shutters, bookcases and wardrobes in a variety of styles be they Victorian, Shaker, Retro or contemporary.

Upgrades and renovations include:
-          Integrated wardrobes, cupboards, shelving and bookcases (bespoke and fitted)
-          Shutters
-          Desks and work areas
-          Bespoke kitchen build and fitted kitchen installation (IKEA, etc)

Living and working around the N16 area for the past 19 years, I have knowledge of a wide variety of properties common to the area. This equips me with invaluable experience to help you achieve what is right for you and your home.

Examples of my work

Bookcases

Bookcases can be fitted for specific places and functions. In the case of the one shown here, built to fit the space that was once in two rooms, the central section designed to house DVDs conceals the structural support column from the recent building work. The removable skirting clicks off to reveal extra storage for board-games and toys etc.

Shelving and cupboards

I can design bookshelves to suit your requirements which may include books, music systems, televisions and DVD players. Unsightly wiring can be concealed and elegant results achieved. In this example there were DVDs and consoles inside the cupboard plus metres of accompanying wires. The customer required the hi-fi units to remain easily accessible.

Cupboards

Additional kitchen storage can be achieved by either upgrading or integrating new shelf space tailored to the contents it will hold.  In the example shown, what had once been a cluttered understair cupboard was refitted and converted using an IKEA sliding door system for easy access and organisation to store vacuum cleaner, coats, wire baskets, household items and wine rack etc.

Banisters & Staircases

Subject to much wear and tear, staircases and banisters can be become the most battered of a home’s features. I can replace, restore or as in the picture shown, start anew and bring back their original features.

Wardrobes / Additional Storage

Main or additional wardrobes utilising spare space are often requested since space is at a premium in London. I can build these using wood, MDF or flatpack furniture depending on your budget. The landing wardrobe shown used IKEA units with bespoke Shaker style doors and panelling to match the home’s original features yet still providing a modern flexible storage system.

Kitchen shelving

Bespoke units such as the one shown here can be made to speciification. In this case the adjustable shelving unit was three meters in length to fit a long wall, complementing the style and proportions of the newly installed kitchen.
